I have had two calls
recently about problems
opening forwarded
attachments within
Microsoft Office Outlook
(not
Outlook Express).
Uninstalling
Google Desktop
will likely correct this
issue. Most
users of Google Desktop
have no idea what it is.
Mention Google Desktop
and they think of the
online search engine.
Google Desktop indexes
all of the items on a
computer and can make it
easy to find any
document or picture. But
I have yet to meet one
person who actively uses
it.
Google Desktop is often
downloaded and installed
by "accident". It also
is coming preinstalled
on many computers. I for
one make sure it is
never installed on one
of mine or any others
that I service.
Uninstallation can be
done from Add/Remove
Programs in Control
Panel.
